Fundamental aspects of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

The attempt to universalize primary education through community-ownership of the school system is the universal punishment sentencing. This is a response to the demand for quality basic education across the country. The SSA program is also an attempt to provide opportunities for all children to improve human capabilities through community-based quality education in a mission mode.

Goals of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a useful and relevant primary education for all children aged 6 to 14 years. The social, regional and gender gaps are another target for the bridge with the active participation of the community in the management of schools.
Useful and relevant education can lead to an educational system exploration, which is dependent on non-existent and community solidarity. This aim is to enable children to learn their natural environment and maintain their human capacity fully and physically.
This exploration is a process based on value-based learning, which allows kids to work better for each other rather than allowing selfish interests.
The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan recognizes the importance of early childhood care and education and is constantly visible at the age of 0-14. All attempts to support pre-school practitioners in ICDU centers or IDPs areas, special pre-school centers will be made to replace the efforts of the Women and Child Development Department.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas
The Government of India introduced a new scheme called Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBB) in 2004 to establish residential schools with boarding facilities at the Elementary Level of SC, ST, OBC and other minorities. The program began in August 14, 2005 in our states. After 2007, the SSA merged into a separate category.
Initially this scheme will be coordinated with Elementary Education Department of Elementary Education, SSA, NPEGEL. This scheme applies only to recognized educationally backward communities, the 2001 census of rural women’s literacy is less than the national average and gender equality in literacy is higher than the national average.

To remove gender gap to achieve the goals of SSA.

To participate in school girls at the age of 11-14, leave the girls in 6th, 7th and 8th classes.
To encourage girls to educate them for free education for SC, ST, BC and minority girls.
